Sunderland Transfer News: Tom Ince To Hold Black Cats Talks

By Joseph Dempsey /

Blackpool winger Tom Ince will hold talks with Sunderland today as he attempts to thrash out his future, according to the BBC. The meeting comes in a week which has seen the midfielder hold a series of discussions with several Premier League sides after his club gave him permission to negotiate a move. The in-demand 21-year-old met with Swansea and Crystal Palace on Monday and held talks with Stoke City on Tuesday as he plans his next career move. It was also thought that Ince would meet with Hull today, however, following his side's 1-0 Premier League defeat to Palace on Tuesday, Tigers manager Steve Bruce denied these claims. Speaking to BBC Radio Humberside, Bruce remarked:
There's nothing in that and we're not likely to do anything before Friday.
Ince began his career at Anfield as a member of Liverpool's youth academy but managed just one appearance for the Reds in the League Cup and was sold to Blackpool in 2011. He has excelled with the Tangerines, scoring 18 Championship goals last season and being named the Football League Young Player of the Year for 2013. The starlet has netted a further seven goals for the seaside club this term and has made 23 appearances. But Blackpool lost 5-1 at Reading on Tuesday and are 15th in the table. Ince's father, Paul, was sacked as manager last Tuesday.
