Sunderland vs Everton - FA Cup Quarter Final Preview
Everton travel to the Stadium of Light for the FA Cup Quarter Final replay against Sunderland.
With David Moyes team not reaching their full potential this season and with Martin ONeill wanting to make his first season as Sunderland manager glorious, both sides will be giving everything tonight in their F.A Cup Quarter-final replay. In the first meeting between these teams, Sunderland took the lead after a first half opener scored by full-back Phil Bardsley, only to have their win cancelled out by a Tim Cahill strike midway through the first half. The Sunderland team have looked to be a completely different side after Martin ONeill took over late last year. Although ONeills men have pleased their manager he still is prepared for a close game against Everton this evening. It is obviously going to be a very tough evening - I wouldn't expect anything else, and I am hoping that Everton will feel the same. You have to try to be prepared as much as you can for every eventuality. David Moyes said in the pre-match press conference: "I think the pressure does go back on (Sunderland). I felt it a little bit when we played at home. We tried to do the job and win here but it was a good result for Sunderland to get us back to the Stadium of Light. They will see a good part of the job has been done and they have probably got themselves in the favourites position because they have been very good at home under Martin, so we know it will be a tough game." Team News Both Phil Bardsley and Sebastian Larsson are set to feature after both recovering from an illness. ONeill will also have his off the rail skipper Lee Cattermole back after being suspended. Sunderland will have to make all their returning players count, as ex-Manchester Uniteds John OShea, Wes Brown and Kieran Richardson are still unavailable through injury. Everton manager David Moyes also has a few injury worries coming into the game tonight, with Jack Rodwell and Seamus Coleman both ruled out with hamstring problems. Sunderland's likely Squad: Mignolet, Gordon, Bardsley, Bridge, Turner, Kilgallon, Kyrgiakos, Lynch, Cattermole, Gardner, Larsson, Elmohamady, McClean, Vaughan, Meyler, Colback, Sessegnon, Bendtner, Wickham, Ji, Campbell. Everton's likely Squad: Howard, Neville, Hibbert, Distin, Jagielka, Heitinga, Baines, Cahill, Gibson, Fellaini, Osman, Barkley, Gueye, Jelavic, Mucha, Drenthe, Stracqualursi, Anichebe, McFadden.
