Tim Krul Has Some Advice For Aleksandar Mitrovic

It's not if, it's when to do it...

By Ross Tweddell /

Tim Krul has told of how aggressive new £13 million Newcastle signing Aleksandar Mitrovic is behind closed doors at Newcastle United, but wouldn't change him for the world. The former Anderlecht man impressed during his full debut at Old Trafford against Manchester United on Saturday after a couple of less than convincing substitute appearances against Southampton. The Serb infamously received two yellow cards moments after coming on in both games with reckless tackles that had many questioning his character, but all those doubters were silenced as the forward ran his socks off and played a huge part in Newcastle's 0-0 draw. In fact, he could have scored with a wonderful header from all of 16 yards. But Krul, who himself excelled with a wonderful save to deny Javier Hernandez, doesn't want his new teammate to lose that mean streak and instead channel his energies at specific times: €œHe€™s just as aggressive in training, and you need that," the Dutchman told The Evening Chronicle. "He just needs to understand when to do it and when not to. That will come with experience but I would rather have it than not. €œIf you train with his enthusiasm, that will make everybody better.€ Mitrovic will be looking for his first Newcastle goal if he is selected in the Capital One Cup tie at home to Northampton Town on Tuesday, or at home to Arsenal in the Barclays Premier League this weekend.
