According to Caughtoffside.com, unsettled Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko could make a sensational Premier League swap to Tottenham Hotspur after Emmanuel Adebayor couldnt agree a permanent deal with the White Hart Lane club. The 26-year-old striker spent the majority of last season on the bench whilst Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez ran rampant on Premier League clubs. Dzeko joined from Wolfsburg for £27 million back in January 2011 but City manager Roberto Mancini shunned him for many of the big games. After an explosive stab by Dzeko claiming he was too good for the bench earlier today, he now looks set to be on the move away from Eastlands. Having scored 19 goals last season in just 26 apprarances for Man City, Dzeko has proved he isnt goal shy and could easily become a regular for Tottenham. Having lost out to Adebayor after he demanded extra money from Manchester City for his release, Tottenham hope they can reach a deal for a new forward before the start of the season. Spurs now only have one recognised striker in Jermain Defoe so to add another striker is crucial for the new manager Andre Villas-Boas.
