This is flat out one of the stupidest comments a player can make in a press interview, unless of course hes left Accy Stanley to join Manchester United then I suppose its a valid comment. However it is not these kind of players that say these things, more often than not it is a player who has made a move that is effectively a side step for them career wise but a big boost for their bank account. Clearly they feel the need to attempt to justify these moves and so this is what they come up with. Not only does it make them seem stupid its also infuriating to fans of the former club. Though there is nothing sweeter than someone moving to a bigger club and that club being relegated or finishing lower than you did.
