So a Featherweight wins in impressive fashion and nobody cares; Matt Hammill and Roger Hollett clearly shouldnt be fighting on the main card of a Pay Per View; Michael Bisping is still a World Class Middleweight; Two little guys fight back and forth for five rounds to crown a World Champion and fans boo; Jon Jones remains the greatest fighter on the planet. UFC 152 is done and dusted and not a great deal has changed. Not withstanding the fact that we do have that new Champion to talk about Demetrious Johnson outpointing Joseph Benavidez and the fact that Vitor Belfort came closer than anyone else in the UFC to beating Jon Jones despite the eventually one-sided main event. Now, what next? Another Flyweight World Title bout, a Middleweight contenders bout, and a Superfight between the two best in the World? Heres the eight bouts the UFC need to make coming out of that night in Toronto:-
1. Marcus Brimage Vs Max Holloway
The Featherweight division is desperately in need of new challengers to Jose Aldos crown. It says a lot that a man on a two fight losing streak Frankie Edgar - can drop down a division and still be easily the most sensible choice to fight the Champ. Marcus Brimage upset the odds against highly touted Jimmy Hettes in Toronto and is now undefeated in his three fight run inside the Octagon. At just 20 years old and with a versatile striking offence Max Holloway could be the perfect opponent following his destructive victory over Justin Lawrence at UFC 150 in August. Let them stand and bang and see which prospect moves one step closer to the top third of the division.
