The UFC is building up some huge momentum coming up to the end of 2013 with massive matchups taking place on PPV, from the Rousey Tate rematch to another GSP title fight and of course the very eagerly anticipated second matchup between Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman. First up however is the final act in an epic heavyweight championship trilogy.

Cain Velasquez is the current heavyweight champion and the Mexican American has a highly impressive 12 and 1 record defeating some of the biggest names in UFC heavyweight history, the likes of Minotauro Nogueria, Bigfoot Silva and Brock Lesnar have all fallen to him and all of them were knocked out too a very impressive achievement. Cain€™s only defeat came at the hands of the very man he will face on October 19th the former champ, Brazilian Junior Dos Santos.

Dos Santos also owns a pretty good MMA fighting record with 18 wins and only 2 defeats But Cigano mostly dominates any opponent he steps into the Octagon with. He is the only man to have ever knocked out Mark Hunt as well as the only fighter to take the power punching beast Shane Carwin the full three rounds. He also beat up Roy Nelson for three rounds using €˜Big Country€™ like his own personal punching bag.

Dos Santos is a machine using his amazing power and vastly superior boxing to beat down any opponent but it€™s worth noting that Cain have proved to have heavy handed firepower in his gloves too. It should be an epic encounter down in Houston Texas maybe the final time these two greats will fight against each other
