A natural competitor, Rich Franklin of course wanted a second shot at Anderson Silva. This time, Franklin made it to the second round. And for that, we're putting this fight slightly ahead of their first meeting, though to be fair, the first fight earned Silva the belt, so you could just as easily swap positions with these two fights. However, this fight ended in almost identical fashion to the first, with Franklin eating a brutal Anderson Silva knee. After that, Franklin's days as a relevant fighter in the division were more or less over.
