Jordan Rhodes has always been a bit of a strange one for me; he is still only 23 years old and has the sort of reputation that should appeal to Premier League clubs. When he was at Huddersfield Town he once had a season where he scored 40 goals in all competitions, this led to his £8 million switch to Blackburn Rovers. His progress since playing in the Championship has continued to progress with 26 league goals last season, and he has scored 16 already during this campaign. On top of all that he has international experience after winning 11 caps for Scotland and scoring three goals. In normal circumstances, it would seem obvious that he would be snapped up by an EPL team that are short of goals. The big problem is that Blackburn have big financial backing and will never be under any seriously pressure to sell especially with the club sitting on the edge of the play-offs. However, the player might want to test himself at a higher level and that might be enough to push through a January move.
