It's top against bottom in the Premier League tonight as Wigan take on Chelsea at the JJB Stadium, live on Sky Sports Monday Night Football. Manchester City come into the match on the back of a few bad results that include two cup knockouts and disappointing league results and some star players missing that has left Roberto Mancinci calling out for new investment as they head into their best chance to win the Premier League in their history. For Wigan, they would be desperate for just one or two of Man City's galatico's. Roberto Martinez has struggled at home this season where they haven't won in eight which last week looked even worse when they went to League Two side Swindon and found themselves knocked out of the FA Cup. Their recent history against Man City has never been pretty either. Man City are looking for their fifth straight win over Wigan in this match.

Team News

Star playmaker David Silva should recover from his ankle injury and appear tonight. Less probable is Mario Balotelli fielding after he limped off against Liverpool with a similar injury. Vincent Kompany sits out the second of his four match ban after his antics last weekend. The Toure brothers are at the African Cup of Nations. For Wigan, Albert Crusat may play after recovering from back trouble. Shaun Maloney is being aided back to fitness whilst Mohamed Diame is at the African Cup of Nations.
