Wolves Transfer News: AC Milan's Franck Kessie To Make €25 Million Move?
Reports from Italy claim the powerful Ivory Coast midfielder could be heading to the Midlands.
According to Sportitalia, Wolverhampton Wanderers may be about to make another impressive addition to their squad before the transfer window closes at 5pm today.
The outlet is reporting that a fee has been agreed with AC Milan to bring midfielder Franck Kessie to Molyneux ahead of the 2019/20 Premier League season kicking off tomorrow.
If these reports are to be believed, the fee involved is an initial €25 million with a further €3 million in add-ons. Now an agreement needs to be reached between Nuno Espirito Santo’s men and the powerful midfielder star.
This would certainly be a strange move for the simple fact that only made his move to Milan permanent this past June – having spent the previous two seasons on loan at the San Siro from Atalanta.
Said permanent transfer was €24 million – which makes it strange to hear that the Rossoneri would be willing to let the Ivory Coast international leave for just €1 million more just two months later.
New AC Milan head coach Marco Giampaolo doesn’t see Kessie as part of his long-term plans for the red and black half of Milan.
Should this deal indeed get over the line by 5pm today, Kessie would be the second AC Milan player to sign for Wolves this summer – joining striker Patrick Cutrone at Molyneux.
