20 Things You Somehow Missed In Andor

20. Stellan Skarsgard Joined Andor Because He Wanted To Work With Diego Luna

Luthen Rael is easily one of the best new characters introduced in the Disney era and a good part of the reason behind that is Stellan Skarsgard. His screentime with Diego Luna's Cassian is electrifying, and he complements the latter's hesitation and bewilderment with a sense of steely resolve. The two actors' dynamic is electrifying, and if things had gone a different way we might have seen them pair up earlier in a different project.

While being interviewed on the Dagobah Dispatch podcast (via Entertainment Weekly), Skarsgard revealed that he and Luna almost starred in a football-themed feature in the early to mid-2000s. The project's director, however, left before filming began and this forced the actors to follow suit. Fortunately, that incident did not stop the duo from reuniting years later on the Rogue One prequel.
