Although Sonic The Hedgehog was a great return to form for this actor, the last decade of his career hasn't been too kind to him. Carrey was once the king of comedy; now, he's mostly just a bygone figure who appears now and again then vanishes. However, his name is still one of the biggest in comedy despite this, and he'd be a perfect fit for this series.

Any sitcom that can get Jim Carrey would be lucky, but the popularity of this show could mean that he'd be making the right choice to be a part of it. He's shown before that he's happy to play cameo roles, with one of the most notable being his surprise part as the "Finger lakes Guy" in The Office, which impressed audiences despite appearing for less than twenty seconds.

His over-the-top comedy stylings would be so at home in the Nine-Nine, as his bombastic energy and incredible improv skills would no doubt fit well with the rest of the cast. Plus, this could be the biggest comedian appearance in the show's history, helping to up the importance of the final season.
