Seldom has a historical show done such an excellent job of so completely recreating just about everything from the era in which it takes place. The attitudes, the clothing, the culture, the values; just about everything oozes period perfection. That alone is an impressive achievement, but that the series has been so consistently well-written and acted, with amazingly well-rounded characters, is what makes this show a real winner. Id far prefer to watch the adventures of Don and Peggy than the adventures of Ricky and Lucy.
