No story arcs. No recurring characters. No series in the traditional sense. Just Rod Serling, some great acting, wonderful writing and real, thought-provoking content; exactly as sci-fi should be. Seldom has any TV series had such a great balance of great episodes to dross. Consider things like, The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street, Time Enough At Last, Its a Good Life, and Nightmare at 20,000 Feet. These are classics that entertain even now in a way that something like I Love Lucy couldnt quite pull off.
