10 Best Aaron Sorkin TV Characters

9. Matt Albie & Danny Tripp

Show: Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip Played by: Matthew Perry & Bradley Whitford Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, for my money, was a great ride while it lasted. A lot of folks think it was a failure because it didn€™t get a second season, but I think it wraps up perfectly. Matt Albie & Danny Tripp are the executive producers of Studio 60, a live sketch comedy show. Perry and Whitford€™s chemistry is undeniable (rooted from Perry€™s stint on The West Wing). Albie and Tripp needed one another. They both had romantic and professional ups and downs, but they were each other€™s rocks. They cared deeply for one another€”like when Albie stormed into the network executives€™ office and accidentally outed Tripp€™s drug test failure, Albie: €œSorry about that. That one is on me.€ Tripp: €œYeah.€ These two could say so much with very few words. Most of the time getting the message across with a €œYeah€ or an €œOkay€ was all that was needed. Arguably the best part of Sorkin€™s worst show is any moment these two share the screen. Fun Fact: The sign in their office read €œTime flies like an arrow, fruit flies like bananas€, get it?
