The result is a wide variety of choices that please a number of audiences especially adults. Drama's, comedies and everything in between can now be found in animated form and for the first time-geared towards adult audiences. Here are the best of them.

10. Gravity Falls

Gravity Falls is very much a children's show. It shows on Disney XD and features two 12-year old's as the main characters. But it is also incredibly enjoyable for adults. Gravity Falls is the story of twin brother and sister's that leave home to stay with their "Grunkle" Stan for the summer in a town called Gravity Falls in Oregon. When they arrive they realize that they town is not what it seems and the twins embark on a series of supernatural adventures.

Gravity Falls acted as a serial mystery for the majority of its first season, a new monster/adventure every week, and some small threads of an overarching story. However at some point during the first season the creators decided to let go of sanity and embrace it's crazy conspiracy side. Instead of a monster of the week, Gravity Falls went after the type of craziness that only shows like Lost or Fringe have attempted. That new approach elevated the show to new heights and with a new mystery element added to the lovable amusing characters, Gravity Falls has become one of the best animated shows on television.
