If this writer is being honest, Rachel Skarsten's entry on this list could be based upon any of the episodes of Batwoman in which she has appeared so far. She's got this incredible ability to effortlessly shift between gleeful psychopath and heartbroken child in an instant, and that makes all of her performances that much more unpredictable.

However, it was the fifth episode of the season that delved into Alice's roots, and that allowed her to go that much further with it. Giving us an insight into why Batwoman's beloved sister had become such a depraved villain, Skarsten sold the heck out of Alice's emotional scars - giving life to every single word with eccentric mannerisms or emotive outbursts.

Batwoman still has a lot of work to do if it wants to catch up to its Arrowverse counterparts, but if it continues to rely on Skarsten's acting prowess, it could find its way there in 2020.
