10 Best Fusions In Steven Universe

10. Opal : Amethyst & Pearl

This graceful, archery master made her first appearance during the second episode of the first season, aptly named, "Giant Woman." She was Steven's, and our, introduction to Fusions and she didn't disappoint.

The Fusion between perfectionist Pearl and rambunctious Amethyst, Opal's personality is one of quiet calm. She is, as the episode name suggests, a Giant Woman. Moving on the tips of her toes, like a ballerina, she has four arms and long, white hair tied back into a ponytail. Her weapon of choice is a bow made from the combination of Pearl's spear and Amethyst's whip. The arrows she shoots are made of light, which she can easily control the shape, size, and number of in an instant.

Like all fusions, qualities of both Gems are present: Pearl's nose and long limbs with Amethyst's lips and purplish skin hue. And you can see Amethyst and Pearl's gems positioned in the same locations on Opal.

She is voiced by singer and musician, Aimee Mann, whose music was a major inspiration for the show's creator, Rebecca Sugar.

Opal makes four appearances in the Steven Universe original series, though only speaks in "Giant Woman." She appears once in Steven Universe Future, shapeshifting into the form of Steven during a game of Steven Tag, even using her bow to shoot Garnet at him.

In Steven Universe: The Movie, Opal sings the duet "Independent Together" along with Steg (the fusion of Steven and his dad, Greg). The voice of Steg, Ted Leo, is part of the musical duo "The Both," whose other member is Opal's voice actress, Aimee Mann.

You definitely don't want to find yourself on the wrong side of this Gem's bow.
