8. School Is Hell (And Its Many Jokes/Easter Eggs)
Treehouse of Horror episodes are often more heavy on the parody than any other Simpsons episode, but School Is Hell from Treehouse of Horror XXV was fairly unique - just full of many fantastic Easter eggs and original jokes. The plot revolves around Bart and Lisa going to school in hell. There's actually a lot of mileage to be had from this simple concept. On the original side, Chalmers yelling "Skin him!" instead of Skinner, Bart being a straight A student in hell, Skinner saying the greens on golf courses are "a little tricky" - it all flows very well. Oh, and a bumper sticker trumpeting that "My Kid is an Honor Student in Hell" was a nice touch. Then there's the appearance of the doughnut torture machine used on Homer when he visits hell much earlier in the series. Now that was the perfect Easter egg.
