10. Auld Acquaintance - Season 1, Episode 26

The show’s first season finale kicks off many of the plot elements that would become the main focus of Season 2, primarily the one in which the Justice League were held tried after being taken over by Starro tech. This tech, which is a combination of alien biotech and magic, forced our heroes to do whatever Vandal Savage and his villainous organization known as the Light instructed them to do.

This results in Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, John Stewart and Hawkwoman not being able to account for a 16 hour time period. The Young Justice team soon discovers that the Justice League have been brainwashed when Red Tornado shuts down after he attempts to force the same tech on Aqualad.

A series of intense battles pits the sidekicks against their mind-controlled mentors. Eventually they’re able to apply an antidote to the League members, thus removing the control that Savage and Klarion the Witch Boy had over them.

The first season's final episode makes Savage’s presence known as a serious threat and it all climaxes with an intense cliffhanger that has long-lasting repercussions for all involved.
