Have you ever thought that Jersey Shore was awesome, but wished that it had just a little bit more Geritol? Well, that's what Sunset Daze is for. It's essentially a show about partying and debauchery, only amongst the over-60 crowd. A sort of Golden Girls Gone Wild, if you will. Interestingly enough, when we went to find more information about this show on We tv's website, the 'About' section was mysteriously blank, suggesting that they themselves don't know why the show is being made. Sunset Daze is set in an expensive Arizona retirement community notable for the high activity level among its seniors. At best, it's cringeworthy entertainment for people who enjoy watching ribald septuagenarians raise a little hell. But it also comes off as a particularly cynical attempt to capitalize on both Jersey Shore and the recent upswing in popularity that older stars have enjoyed (Betty White and Cloris Leachman spring to mind).
