10 Brand New TV Shows Coming To Netflix In 2022
10. Lost Ollie
American animator Shannon Tindle, known for his character design work on projects such as The Emoji Movie, Kubo and the Two Strings, and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, embarks on his first own project with this four-episode animated series.
Lost Ollie is based on a children's book called Ollie's Odyssey written by William Joyce and published in 2016. It was picked up for an animated adaption practically straight away, and Joyce himself served as a writer on all of the episodes.
It tells the story of a plush toy searching all over the countryside for the boy who lost him, and it promises to be a great watch for the entire family. Netflix describes it as emotional but dark, so it should appeal to adult viewers, as well.
Just one look at the cast and crew listing is enough to make you excited about this show. It is directed by Peter Ramsey, who you probably know from co-directing Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and it boasts some true stars in the voice acting department: Jonathan Groff, Mary J. Blige, Tim Blake Nelson, Gina Rodriguez, Jake Johnson, and Kesler Talbot.
An official release date has not yet been given, but according to Production Weekly, the filming has already wrapped up so it shouldn't be long before it lands on the Netflix front page.
