The success of Rugrats is actually pretty surprising. It doesn't make a lot of logical sense that a show centred around toddlers would appeal to slightly older children because when you're a really grown-up 9-year-old, babies seem super boring. Still, there was something deeply entertaining about the evil Angelica and Tommy, that adorable agent of chaos. A Rugrats reboot could still feature the characters we loved by having the series follow their children. The show premiered in 1991, so they'd all be in their mid-to-late 20s now. The parents were always a key part of the show, so why not see all three generations of the Pickles family and friends - the original parents, the toddlers all grown-up, and some brand new rugrats.
