Look at those terrifying faces. Are all of your nightmares circa 1995 coming screaming back to you? The Animaniacs was an animated variety show of sorts, hosted by these smiling spectres of doom. It launched classic characters like Pinky and the Brain, and injected a dose of weirdness into Saturday morning cartoons. Animaniacs seems ripe for rebooting because its humour was timeless. The show thrived equally on classic slapstick and modern references. As it was supposed to be set through the ages on the Warner Bros. lot, it would be easy to incorporate old characters and new without losing what made the show so unique.
