10 Crazy Characters You Forgot Existed In Stargate

This collection of guest spots may have been largely forgotten in Stargate - but not by us!

Stargate SG-1 ran for ten seasons and in that time it racked up quite a large amount of guest stars and recurring characters. Not all of these characters would be cemented in the memories of those watching, even if some of their stories were truly fascinating to see.

Some of them deserved a far longer run on the show, while some had all the time they needed - which is not to say that that time wasn't memorable in its own right. From guest stars of other franchises to some of the world's most well known voices, Stargate boasted an impressive roster of visiting talent.

There were some fantastic meta moments along the way - a particular highlight being Jack O'Neill getting to meet his favourite TV character (even if it wasn't directly addressed on-screen!). In fact, Jack got to meet most of the people on this list, though that doesn't automatically mean that he liked every one of them.

From body swapping to body dumping, this list contains some of the more forgotten characters in Stargate's long history, from clones to zealots and beyond.

10. Jonathan 'Jack' O'Neill

Jonathan O'Neil is the young clone of Jack O'Neill, created by the Asgard Loki. Though he was merely an experiment that was not due to be long term, but he was discovered by the SGC. That said, discovered is a bit of a misnomer - he walked right up to the front door of Cheyenne Mountain, claiming to be the original.

After Loki's actions were discovered, there left the question of what to do with the clone. 'Retiring' him clearly wasn't an option, and, thanks to Thor's help, he was saved. The sequencing that Loki used to create him had been breaking down, but this was halted and Jonathan O'Neill, as a teenager with thirty years of military experience, returns to high school.

And what could possibly go wrong with that?
