Death and cannibalism - of a sort. Sure, Pinchy was a lobster, and sure, he was purchased to be fattened up and eaten, but he became a true friend and loyal pet to Homer, so when his owner accidentally killed him by giving him a bath that was a wee bit too hot in "Lisa Gets An 'A'" we were actually sad to see the result. When Homer sat down at the dinner table later and ate him, however, we were both amused and a little disgusted. The Simpsons patriarch not allowing the rest of the family to eat any - "Pinchy would have wanted it this way" - was a nice touch on a disturbingly funny scene.
