Angelo is the star of the hit CITV series "Mike and Angelo", which ran from 1989 to 2000. He was initially played by Tyler Butterworth and, after a Doctor Who-esq regeneration, by Tim Whitnall from series two onwards. Angelo is a completely human-looking alien who came through a portal from another world (the portal being a wardrobe in one of the bedrooms of the house he came to live in on the show). Him and Mike (whoever Mike was being played by in that particular series) were always causing havoc in the house and getting up to mischief, but Angelo was essentially harmless and very friendly. As an alien, he was able to defy gravity and walk on ceilings, and he was always inventing crazy things beyond the realms of human imagination.
