Also known as Quiz from God or Quiz of God because apparently nobody can decide what to call this thing, this is a South Korean medical drama. Between The Good Doctor, Grey’s Anatomy, House, and others, plenty of English-speaking viewers already have a huge number of options open to them when it comes to hospital-based shows, so what makes this one so different?

For starters, the show is led by the character of Han Jin-woo, a bizarre and brilliant brain surgeon who is simply a joy to watch. Similar to the character of House, Han has an eccentric personality but always gets results. Each episode begins with a seemingly impossible problem for Han and the team to overcome, but they gradually piece together the puzzle, and it's a lot of fun for viewers to follow along and see the solution come together.

While many medical dramas concern themselves with everyday health issues and injuries, God’s Quiz tends to centre around extremely rare diseases you’ve probably never heard of, so it’s a fascinating educative experience to learn about these unknown health issues and see how Han and his team work to cure them.
