10 Game Of Thrones Moments That Didn't Live Up To Expectations
10. The City Of Meereen
After going from city to city, freeing the slaves, and being declared "Mhysa", Danaerys arrived at Meereen way back in season 4.
She swiftly took control of the impressive city and executed many of the slave owners. What followed was an uneasy peace enforced by her army of Unsullied.
That is until a mysterious group called the Sons of the Harpy began assassinating her soldiers and regularly jeopardizing her people. The identity of these masked individuals remained a secret until it was time for Danaerys to leave for Westeros.
Turns out there was no mystery and the most obvious of candidates were leading the Harpies the whole time. The grudge lasted until season 7 when Danaerys finally decided just to burn all of them and have the Dothraki butcher the rest.
An extra kicker to this was the side plot of her chaining two of her dragons up which broke out during the climactic battle. There were zero consequences to their Mother's imprisoning of them as they helped Drogon burn down the slave owners ships regardless.
