Deadwood is one of the most intense Western TV series ever created, though Hell on Wheels is a close second. The issue with re-watching Deadwood is that it gives you everything it has to offer the first time through. It's a brilliantly constructed series, from the characters through the dialogue. But Deadwood's also not the kind of show with depth beyond that. What you see is what you get. You're not going to find anything new on second time through it.
