Yes. It is true. There is a Frankenstein Batman. I am sure we can all understand the logic of vampire Batman but this is a whole other world. That world is Batman: Castle of the Bat. The story also confirms Bruce has a pretty unhealthy obsession with is father. After his parents are killed, Bruce decides to become a doctor like his father, although unlike his father, he has been enamored with death and reanimation. After fiddling with some genetics (including splicing together a 'bat-hound'), Bruce and Alfredo (ha!) happen upon his fathers brain. Wanting to be reunited with his father, he places the brain in a body, builds a suit to cover the scars on the body and infuses it with Bat DNA because...because of science. Needless to say the Bat-man escapes and runs a muck against criminals and robbers, but turns up becoming a little more bat than man. What follows is a conspiracy story of the bestial bat-man slowly guiding Bruce to the circumstances of his death. So yes. Frankenbat. It happened.
