10 Majorly Hyped TV Series That Disappointed Us

10. Iron Fist

Marvel's repertoire with Netflix series' was already doing well by the time Iron Fist was announced, and as such, it was easy to squeeze your way into the excitement bubble. If Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage were epic and fun, surely this kick-ass martial arts hero could be too. Oh, how naïve fans were.

Iron Fist got a solid amount of traction and advertisement going for it. Its joint collaboration between Marvel and Netflix meant that it was on everyone's radar. Plus, it even managed to sneak in a little bit of Game of Thrones fame, thanks to the leading character being played by Loras Tyrell himself (aka Finn Jones), who seemed primed for a big-time hit.

Then, the show came out, and it was - rather poetically - a massive kick to the gut. While many people praised the action sequences, it still felt lacklustre compared to its grounded and well-written peers like Jessica Jones and Daredevil. Also, Finn Jones's Danny Rand was Danny Bland, making it almost impossible to invest in the series, as the main character just didn't live up to the Marvel standard.

Overall, not a good look for Netflix or Marvel.
