10 Most Hate-Worthy Villains From Animated TV Shows

2. Father/Homunuclus - Fullmetal Alchemist/Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood

Staying with menaces who have haunted their worlds for centuries, Homunculus personifies hatred against mankind.

An artificially created being using a piece of a human’s soul as the raw material, Homunclus starts out as little more than a floating nuisance. Trapped in a bottle, his only desire was to be free of his presence and get a taste of freedom. The only person who understood him was the man from whom he was created, a young slave he went on to name Van Hohenheim.

Empathizing with his situation, Hohenheim took pity on the weak being. However this was the beginning of a long game that would take more lives than anyone bothered counting. Homunuclus was created as a means for the King of the land to obtain immortality. Desperate to cling on to his life, the King did exactly as instructed. This turned out to be a catastrophe as Homunclus used a powerful alchemical technique to steal the souls of every person in the kingdom.

He used their energy to create a new body for himself, identical to Hohenheim. He also spared a fair few for his friend; granting Hoheinheim immortality, along with the unbearable weight of knowing his power is drained from the living souls of millions.

Homunclus would then go on to create a whole new country, start countless wars, and create a master plan for stealing an even greater number of souls so as to attain omnipotence. Now that is pure evil.
