10. Neal McBeal

There was once a time when the biggest problem in BoJack's life was surrounding the ownership of some muffins. The second ever episode of the show saw the titular star embroiled in a battle trying to protect his own image. Of course, he made things worse for himself and gave the media the ammo to label him as someone who hated America’s war heroes, but the whole started with some muffins.

BoJack saw a pack of muffins in the grocery store and picked them up, only to be confronted by Neal McBeal the Navy Seal who claimed they were his. They got into an argument about dibs, and BoJack eventually got so irritated that he brought the muffins, the last pack on the shelf, and ate all 12 on the way home despite not actually wanting them.

This may have been a dick move by BoJack, as he is wont to do on occasion, but did this really need to be blown to the proportion that it was? Seriously, who goes to the media over someone taking the muffins they wanted from the store? Neal McBeal, that’s who.

BoJack didn’t need to antagonize him, but the conversation was never about anyone’s views on the military. Just because Neal McBeal was a Navy Seal doesn’t mean he wasn’t a jerk, and this is one of the few times that BoJack was actually hard done by in the series.
