Chucky is the latest horror film franchise making its way to the small screen, following the recent television adaptations of Scream, The Purge and From Dusk Till Dawn.

The horror franchise has released 8 films over the past 30 years, and with its new TV series on the way, shows no signs of slowing down. It will also continue to release future feature films, sharing a continuity with the new TV show.

It has been said that the franchise creator, Don Mancini will be involved in the series, writing and directing a few episodes, and Brad Dourif will return to voice the psychotic murderous toy doll.

Filming has already finished, and the programme will air sometime later in the year, on Syfy.
