10 Nicest Things Bojack Horseman Has Ever Done
He may have been a bad person, but that doesn't mean he didn't do good things.
Since its debut in 2014, Bojack Horseman has simply grown and grown in popularity, and can genuinely count itself among the best original content Netflix has to offer. Spanning six seasons, the show has seen its characters grow over time, and many are nothing like the people we were introduced to in Season 1.
Bojack himself is, for a good majority of the show's span, a terrible person. He has treated those around him like dirt, ruined the lives of those he cared about, and even dragged Sarah-Lynn out of sobriety to the bender that would end her life.
Naturally, there is a lot of focus on the titular horse and his flaws. Almost like Breaking Bad, we find ourselves rooting for the character who, by all logic and standards, should be hated. But through the years, Bojack did try to better himself, despite hitting rock bottom on more than one occasion.
Perhaps somewhat hidden, there are good deeds and kind moments to come from Bojack. Though they may be fewer and further between than the things that make us question whether he actually has a heart, there have been times when Bojack Horseman has done something to make looking in the mirror that little bit easier for him.
10. He Taught Acting
After a life driven for the most part by fame, drugs, and his own ego, Bojack was changed by his time in rehab. He came out the other side trying to be a better person and genuinely improving his life.
This led him to accept a teaching position at Wesleyan University, something far from what he was used to in Hollywood. For once, instead of a narcissistic focus on himself and his celebrity status, Bojack Horseman honestly cared about the students he taught, and really tried to make them better actors.
So much so that when Princess Carolyn tried to poach one of his students and sign him to a big deal, Bojack passionately pleaded against it. He didn't want the fame and fortune to ruin the young man's life like it had his.
Even during his stint in prison at the end of Season 6, he still wanted to help people and pass on his craft to those around him. He took to putting on a production of Hedda Gabler with his fellow inmates, and once again, truly cared about his actors and making them better.
