Angela and Jenna got really excited for this episode of their podcast, and for good reason! In this episode, they get one of the two creators of the original Office show, Stephen Merchant, to hang out.

If you didn’t know, Angela and Jenna are huge fans of Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, not only because of their work but because of the connection they have with one another. So, hearing the Office Ladies chat it up with Merchant is a joy to behold.

Set apart from the other Office guests, Steven Merchant got his start on the show by creating it, so the Ladies ask Merchant about how he and Gervais met, and the tale is legendary. No spoilers here, but it is a must to listen to.

During the podcast with Merchant, they discuss some very interesting points, such as how the American version would differ from the British version. A significant highlight of the episode is when Merchant talks about how he was able to be a fan of the show with the American version, whereas, with the British version, he was never able to do that. And Merchant reveals that there are several versions of the Office, such as an Indian and French version, and while he has seen those versions, the others he received came without subtitles so he has no idea if they’re good or not.
