10 Once Great TV Shows That Descended Into Madness

9. Buffy The Vampire Slayer

I was hooked on this show at one time and was utterly obsessed with it. I had a very bad feeling that things were going to go downhill after it switched networks after the fifth season and I was correct. It just seemed to lose something in the transition and we got bombarded with poorly written-and just plain dumb-episodes (that included a musical and one that featured Buffy working at a hamburger joint that ended with her fighting this old lady demon who had what looked like a giant dick coming out of her head) as well as the worst €œbig bads€ ever to appear on the show (Warren and his gang of dorks? Really guys? After she just fought-and died-at the hands of a Goddess I don€™t think Buffy would really be that afraid of a bunch of nerds obsessed with Star Wars that was out to get her). By the time the last season rolled around I€™d all but given up on it and couldn€™t help but feel totally underwhelmed by the hastily thrown together series finale (which could have ruled but ultimately failed to live up to this potential).
