The Character: Aileen Wuornos The Inspiration: Aileen Wuornos The Story: Do you remember the highly successful film called Monster that starred Charlize Theron back in 2003? Well, it was based off of the same character that Lily Rabe portrays in AHS:Hotel. Aileen Wuornos was a convicted serial murderer who killed over seven men while she worked as a prostitute between 1989 and 1990. She was later executed by lethal injection in 2002, right before the famous film hit theatres.
