In Marvel comics, Luke Cage (or Power Man) is a friend, then lover, then co-Avenger and eventually husband to Jessica Jones. It looks like the Jessica Jones TV series will pick up at the very start of their relationship. The treatment of these characters has always seemed quite progressive in a pop culture world that usually neglects depictions of both interracial romance and powerful women. And it looks like the Netflix version of the couple will also be really, really hot. Their dynamic has always had the potential to be explosive, with both possessing super-strength and struggling to deal with darkness in their past. What we've seen from Ritter and Mike Colter as Cage so far has been drenched in chemistry and incredibly sexy.
