Derek is naturally one of the characters in the show and while he is not the main subject of the show he is very well part of almost everything that is going on. Derek is one of the first Werewolves the teens meet after Scott becomes a Werewolf. His place in the show is unmistakable as he is who the confused and scared teens turn to when they get in a jam despite the fact they dont trust him right away. Derek is one of the best bad ass Werewolves on the show and is plenty eye candy for the woman watching at home. He is more of a mentor to Scott and has a hard time breaking apart from his evil Werewolf brother.
