From is contentiously one of the better sci-fi horror shows that you've probably never seen.

Debuting in 2022, MGM+'s offering depicts an American town that traps any person unfortunate enough to enter. Inexplicably unable to leave, the new residents find themselves plagued by shape-shifting creatures that hunt them for sport.

From has been must-see entertainment from the very first episode, but the show's second season finale set the bar to a whole new level. In addition to steeping various narrative threads in even further mystery - what can "anghkooey" possibly mean?! - the episode also drops an almighty cliffhanger to keep fans hanging on until the next season debuts.

Tabitha awakes in a hospital bed after being pushed out of the town's mysterious lighthouse by the equally mysterious Boy in White. The implications of this development are monumental - the revelation of an escape route from the town, although the circumstances behind said route are left maddeningly unclear.

Complementing this jaw-dropping reveal are the usual excellent performances, crisp scriptwriting and unsettling set-pieces that viewers have come to expect from this hidden gem. Capping off the second season with a bang, "Once Upon A Time?" is exceptional television.
