Whats It About? When Jerry Van Dyke goes to buy a new car, he discovers that his mother has been reincarnated as a car from the late 1920s. Why Is It So Ridiculous? The description pretty much speaks for itself. A woman gets reincarnated as a car that is bought by her son who she communicates with through the radio. Its such a preposterous idea that I really hope mind altering drugs were involved its creation. Its just plain stupid in a way that doesnt allow it to hold up under any kind of scrutiny. Its also filled with horrible oedipal symbolism as we continually see Van Dyke driving his mother. What Happened To It? It was cancelled after a single season of thirty episodes.
