The second season of 24 might be the program's best, but it also contains what most fans consider to be the silliest of storylines amidst the chaos caused by a nuclear detonation, Kim ends up in the woods with a crazy survivalist, and tangles with a cougar. Even the producers of the show couldn't help but joke about "the cougar" in later seasons, and for fans it has become short-hand for anytime the series committed a serious blunder. For a series that also gave one of its main characters amnesia for several episodes because it didn't know what to do with her, that's saying something. The Lesson: No more cougars, please.
