Most Doctor Who fans know Peter Cushing played Dr. Who (not The Doctor) twice, in the feature film Dr. Who and the Daleks, as well as the adaptation Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D. Most also know of his star turn as the unforgettably evil Grand Moff Tarkin in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Many may not know that between movies, TV series, video games, cartoons, and audio dramas, Doctor Who and Star Wars share many more actors in common. These ten actors have been pulled from both the the classic years and new series, as well as the original trilogy and it's prequels. While Doug Bradley doesn't count in the confines of this list, due to just doing voice acting, it should be mentioned that besides his turn as Talbot in the Big Finish Productions audio drama Pier Pressure, and The Emperor in video game Star Wars: The Old Republic, he portrayed Pinhead in almost every Hellraiser movie! And, while he isn't an actor, Nick Gillard not only was a stunt arranger on the classic Sylvester McCoy story, Silver Nemesis, but he also invented the high octane style of light-saber dueling seen in the Star Wars prequels! How cool is that? The Doctor has been to many other universes and timelines, including Doctor Who/Star Trek comic books, but this may be the closest we'll ever get to a proper Star Wars crossover. Let's begin, shall we? Hm?
10. Deep Roy
Though small in stature, Indian actor Deep Roy has played some bigger than life characters in many fan favorite films and televisions shows. Born Mohinder Purba in Kenya, he got his start on The New Avengers television show, before quickly moving on to film as the Italian assassin in The Pink Panther Strikes Again. He has had roles in Blake's 7, Flash Gordon, The Dark Crystal, the Planet of the Apes remake, Return to Oz, and the X-files. He most notably played all 165 Oompa-Loompas in the Tim Burton remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! Roy is most well known to Doctor Who fans as the murderous Peking Homonculus with the pig's brain, Mr. Sin, from the fan favorite 4th Doctor story The Talons of Weng-Chiang. But did you know he was also in Return of the Jedi? As Droopy McCool, part of Max Rebo's band, he didn't get much screen time, but there he is. He is unrecognisable due to prosthetic effects, make-up, and costuming, but that's him on stage playing a traditional Kitonak chidinkalu horn for the entertainment of Jabba's palace guests.
