10 Stargate SG-1 Fates Worse Than Death

10. Becoming A Slave To Hathor

Being parasitic slugs attached to a brainstem, the Goa'uld are nothing without their followers. Whilst many choose to rule through fear, there is one amongst their ranks who chose a slightly different motivating factor: love.

The former queen of Ra, Hathor lay trapped a Sarcophagus for thousands of years before being inadvertently awoken by archaeologists unaware of the evil they would release. Using technology to track Earth's Stargate, she makes her way to Cheyenne Mountain, and infiltrates the base by claiming to be an enemy of Ra.

Upon learning of the death of her hated husband, Hathor begins releasing her Nish'ta pheromone within the base, corrupting the will of all the men in her vicinity and bending them to her will through powerful infatuation. Her new slaves, as it were, fiercely protected her whilst she spawned infant Goa'uld, intending to take the men under her control and turn them into powerful Jaffa, capable of taking over Earth.

Despite it's weirdly hetero-normative properties, the Nish'ta pheromone proves powerful enough to turn strong and intelligent men into obedient servants to their ruthless queen, willing to give their lives or kill their friends in her service. Less than slaves, these are men with no will at all.
