The Question is easily one of the most underappreciated superheroes in all of comic book history. He may not have the cool gadgets of Batman or the powers of Superman, but he does have a few cool tricks up his sleeve and a much crueler approach to fighting crime than the average hero. A reporter-turned-vigilante, The Questions relied on a mask made from a special material and a special gas that changed the color of his clothes and his hair to conceal his identity. He was a product of the more pulp-driven period in the '60s, making him more about dispensing punches than punch-lines. His dark persona would make for some great noir action on a cable network with looser censorship guidelines on violence and language.Although, like many of the names on this list, the continuing success of the DC universe with Arrow and The Flash would make it very easy to introduce the character as a recurring ally before breaking out into his own series. The CW has been allowing their shows to go in darker directions in recent years, making it a good place for The Question to dish out some hard justice. There has never been a live-action adaptation of the character, making him an even better choice to star in his own series.
