2. Batman Beyond

Batman Beyond was weird. So weird that it was highly progressive and actually rather clever.

Even though it was a cartoon, it was still pretty dark, much like the Bojack Horseman of its day. The show was also the first Batman-themed program to focus on the darker side of Batman, something that long-standing Batman fans were desperate for. As a result, Batman Beyond garnered a cult following, which continues to this day.

Sadly, after just 3 seasons the show was canceled. It seems now, more than ever, there is a place in the world for a darker version of Batman, with the Batman movies profiting off the same thing. Plus, the human race always needs more cartoons.
