10 Things We're All Waiting To See Happen In The Walking Dead

2. Michonne Explains Her Past

As I stated before, Michonne€™s been revealing a more tender and emotional side to her character. Some interesting features have been added to the grim silhouette she was in her introduction. While cutting the flesh off zombies, Michonne is also starting to be fleshed out as well. Specifically, the emotion she displayed when holding Judith has set up Michonne for some explanation and growth as a character. We need to know why she was so emotional around a baby €“ unless she was just tearing up at the smell of Judith€™s diaper. Seriously, their supply can€™t last forever. In the graphic novels, Michonne bonds with Rick as they both speak to dead loved ones. Rick speaks to Lori while Michonne chats with her dead boyfriend; they promise to keep each other€™s craziness a secret. However, we€™ve already seen Rick hallucinate a vision of Lori, so I don€™t think the television series is going to take this direction. Unless Rick simply helps Michonne cope with a loss she€™s continued to repress. It€™s very difficult to gauge the direction of this moment; it€™s still very vague and it could take multiple directions. This character arc has been crawling forward for Michonne, but we know it has something to do with babies. I€™m struggling to see the direction it€™s taking, and I don€™t really have much to throw up on you guys €“ I€™m not Judith. If I were just spit-balling, however, I€™d suggest Michonne will be able to empathize in a small way with the Governor. I think she has a repressed love for children that provides some common ground between her and the Governor. I€™m just toying with this idea, however.
